Welcome to Skunk Creek Community Market

“Come to the market!” We’re talking about New Hope Covenant’s Skunk Creek Community Market, which we present five Saturdays a year on the church grounds, 8217 W. Country Gables Drive, Peoria, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

It’s our way of creating a friendly, connecting place for our neighbors, as well as providing a market outlet for the work of talented artisans in the community. At each market, these craftsmen and women bring along a bright array of gift items ranging from wheel-thrown pottery and silk flower arrangements to an eye-catching selection of sock monkeys, jewelry, tea pots, candles, greeting cards, skin-care lotions, hand-painted birdcages and much more. As many as 30 booths dot the campus, several of which are run by non-profit organizations such as 4 Paws Animal Rescue in Sun City. They bring cats or kittens that are available for adoption. Donations for the rescue are always welcome.  

Our Skunk Creek Markets are designed for all ages. From free popcorn to a craft corner where youngsters can make their own gifts, it’s fun for everyone! Warm beverages and sweet treats are available at our "Bake Sale" table. For those who want to come for lunch, a hot dog wagon occupies a corner on the premises.
