Global Missions

Our commitment to community extends beyond just our fellowship, even beyond our city.  New Hope also understands that it bears a responsibility to the global community, and one of the ways we do that is through our support of foreign missionaries.  Below you will find information and links to the global missionary efforts we are a part of.

Project Brazil

(The Guimaraes Family: Missionaries to Rio de Janeiro)
Project Brazil is the result of people with a vision and heart for Brazil who were, and are willing to invest their time, prayers, and finances to make such a mission a reality.
Wainer (pronounced 'Viner') Guimaraes is the co-director of Project Brazil and the pastor of the Mosaico. Mosaico is the initial church he is planting together with wife Magui, his son Peter, and a group of now 40 Brazilians who have joined them since they arrived in February, 2007.
We are so blessed to support Wainer Guimaraes, his family and the spreading of the Gospel in Brazil. Wainer is a gifted in communicator and provides regular updates and newsletters via his website, mail and e-mail.   Learn more about Project Brazil and the Guimaraes family by visiting their website www.projectbrazil.com

First the Kingdom

(The Peña Family: Missionaries to Baja California and Mexico)
God's Vision
God's vision and passion is for people to know Him and His Son Jesus Christ. The Lord's vision is to see churches planted all over the earth. In order for new churches to get started, workers are needed to reap the harvest. We are in the ministry of being those workers. We are fully convinced that we will reap the harvest where we go with the gospel!

According to the last census of Baja and Southern California, both populations combined 5 million people. Only 10% of Mexicans in Baja California know Jesus as Lord and Savior while there are only 10 churches for every 10,000 people in the US. California being the most populous state of them all. Evangelism missionaries are needed to bring these people into the fold of God!

Our Vision
First The Kingdom will raise 1,000 Evangelism Missionaries to assist church planters start 10,000 churches in Southern and Baja California.
How will we assist church planters start 10,000 churches? Third phase Evangelism.
